As you can imagine, launching a National Campaign to take MILLION OF CARS off the Road on Sunday, is a huge undertaking. In order to reach as Many Americans As Possible... I NEED YOUR HELP!
This website was created by ONE PERSON that is Fed Up with the Status Quo in Washington. One Person who's Fed Up with Greedy Oil Barons getting Filthy Rich off the backs of the American People. One Person who felt that something has to be done, who believes One Person can make a difference... YOU! Tell Everybody You Know about this site and Tell them... DON'T DRIVE ON SUNDAY - NATIONAL PROTEST SUNDAY MAY 18, 2008!
THE BIGGEST THING YOU CAN DO TO HELP IS PRINT FLYERS AND LEAFLETS, AND PASS THEM OUT TO EVERYONE!
You can find Flyers and Leaflets to print and pass out on our Support This Project page. Contribute by printing 10 of each and passing them out or hanging them around, (but please don't litter). The more people that see our flyers hanging in windows, the more handbills you pass out on the streets, the more cars we can take off the road.
Do you want to get really active about this movement. Create a Blog or Post in Forums. Write a post in Our Forum and Speak Your Mind! Call your local TV stations and Radio Talk shows. Send an e-mail to your local news editors. Tell your local media outlets that you're fed up like I am, and tell them to talk about DontDriveOnSunday.com.
If you have other skills you would like to contribute to this endeavor, like marketing expertise, or a million friends on MySpace you can e-mail, or if you happen to be the anchor of a network news program and would like to say the words "Don't Drive On Sunday Dot Com" on the air -- Please CONTACT US! This project can use all the juice we can get. So if you own a major software company, and want to integrate our logo into your next update... hook us up and lets see how big we can get this campaign!
It would be really nice to run a National Advertising Campaign for DontDriveOnSunday.com. We need a little advice and a whole lotta loot to make such a campaign happen. But we don't want to take financial contributions from the general public. If you support this concept and you have a spare million laying around, feel free to CONTACT US! Let us know if you would like to see tens of millions of cars parked on the NATIONAL PROTEST SUNDAY MAY 18, 2008! Any offers for donations, if accepted, will be put towards creating a non-for-profit organization and creating an ad campaign.
If you would like to create and contribute a commercial or video clip that can be seen on our website, or used in newscasts, let us know. We'd also love to have an Indie Band write a song called Don't Drive On Sunday we can feature on the site. Anybody that would like to dontate a Brand New Hummer to be demolished for a publicity stunt would also be welcomed to reach out to us. (Like that would ever happen.)
We're not asking for contributions from the general public. This site is about People attacking the problem... not politicians or money.
